Email extractor
Paste any text, such as a web page, an email thread, an export or text copied from a PDF, and get back every email address in it, deduplicated and ready to paste.

How to use it
- Paste the text that has the email addresses in it.
- Keep Remove duplicates on, and add a domain if you only want addresses from one company.
- Copy the list. Choose semicolons for Outlook’s To field, commas for Gmail.
What it finds
Anything shaped like an email address: letters, numbers, dots, plus signs and hyphens before the @, and a domain with a dot after it. Addresses inside brackets, after a colon, at the end of a sentence or inside a CSV row are all picked up, and a full stop at the end is dropped.
It does not check that an address exists or will accept mail; for that you need a verification service. It only finds what is written in the text.
Extract emails from a PDF
Open the PDF, press Ctrl+A to select everything (⌘+A on a Mac), copy it, and paste it into the box. Every address comes out, even when the PDF breaks lines in odd places. A scanned PDF is a picture of a page, so it has no text to copy; run it through text recognition (OCR) first, such as opening it in Google Drive with Google Docs.
Using it responsibly
Use it for your own contacts, sign-up exports, event lists and mail threads you are part of. Sending marketing email to addresses collected from other people’s pages breaks anti-spam law in most countries (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL) and the rules of every email provider.
Next steps with the list
- Merge lists from several places, then run them through remove duplicate lines.
- Turn a column of addresses into one line with the comma separator.
- Compare an old list with a new one in text compare.
