Your computer forgets what you copied the second you copy something else. This is the small app that fixes that, with the shortcut you already know.
The short answer
ClipTen is a copy paste app for Windows 10 and 11. You install it once, it sits quietly in the background, and your number keys become ten places to keep things.
Save: select something, hold Ctrl, press C, then tap 1.
Paste: hold Ctrl, press V, then tap 1. In any app, as many times as you like.
Do the same with 2, 3 and so on up to 0. Ten things, all ready at once. Normal copy and paste keep working exactly as before.
The problem everyone has and nobody talks about
You are filling in a form. Name, email, phone, address, order number. Each one lives somewhere else — an old email, a note, another tab. So you copy one, switch, paste, switch back, copy the next, switch again. Five fields, ten trips.
It happens everywhere once you notice it. Sending the same reply to five people. Moving rows between two spreadsheets. Putting your address into three checkout pages. Pasting a link, a code and a name into a chat. Copying quotes into an assignment. Each trip is only a couple of seconds, but it breaks your concentration every single time, and you do it dozens of times a day.
The reason is old and simple: the clipboard holds one thing. It was built that way decades ago, and Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V never changed.
What ClipTen changes
It gives the clipboard ten pockets and puts them on keys your fingers already know. Copy the five things you need first, each onto its own number. Then go to the form and paste them in one after another without leaving the page.
- Copy your name, then press Ctrl + C + 1.
- Copy your email, then Ctrl + C + 2. Your phone number onto 3, your address onto 4.
- Open the form. Ctrl + V + 1, Ctrl + V + 2, Ctrl + V + 3, Ctrl + V + 4. Done.

Why number keys and not a list
Most clipboard apps, including the one built into Windows (Win V), keep a list of what you copied. That is great for finding something from an hour ago. It is slow for the thing you actually do all day, which is paste the same few items again and again: every paste means opening the list, finding the item, and picking it.
With a number there is nothing to open and nothing to look for. You put it on 3, so it is on 3. Your hands never leave the keyboard, and after a day you stop thinking about it.
